ABA Diversity Scholarship

Amount: $5,000

This is a diversity-based scholarship that aims to increase the number of underrepresented groups on campuses. Applicants must have completed their first year in a qualifying course and declared a major to be eligible.

ACHE Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship

Amount: $5,000

This scholarship was named after the first African-American graduate from ACHE (Albert W. Dent). It offers financial aid to minority students in healthcare management.

Actuarial Diversity Scholarship

Application Deadline: 5/2/2020

Amount: $4,000

The scholarship helps to promote diversity within the actuary profession. It’s an annual program that includes the Hispanic community in its diversity group.

ALA – LITA/LSSI Scholarship

Amount: $2,500

It was established in 1994 and is awarded annually by the Library and Information Technology Association. It encourages applicants to enter the library and automation industries.

American Library Association Spectrum Scholarship

AMS Minority Scholarships

BLM Squared Scholarship

Catharine Lealtad Scholarships

The scholarship is named after Macalester’s first African American graduate who graduated in 1915. Latino students with strong high school records can qualify. The Admissions Committee selects the recipients.

CSF Fiesta Queen Scholarship and Pageant

Amount: $3,000

Female Colorado residents between ages 18-22 from Hispanic descent with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 could qualify for this scholarship. The CSF Fiesta Committee will award a grand prize scholarship to the top recipient.

Edward S. Roth Scholarship

Amount: Varies

Students or prospective manufacturing engineering students from Hispanic descent could qualify for this scholarship. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

EPP Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Application Deadline: 1/31/2020

Amount: $45,000

This program specifically targets students who attend minority-serving institutions in targeted academic fields.

Express Scripts Scholarship

Application Deadline: 9/30/2020

Amount: $10,000

The scholarship provides up to four students from Hispanic descent with $10,000 in financial aid.

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships

Amount: $5,000

The scholarship provides math and science scholarships. It encourages minority students to pursue a career in these fields.

ExxonMobil/LNESC Scholarship

First in the Family Humanist Scholarship

Only four of these scholarships are available annually. It’s awarded to graduating seniors from the LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) area only.

Fontana Transport Inc. Scholars Program

It is open to underrepresented, low-income and first-generation college-bound children. Applicants must pursue an undergraduate degree in the transport industry to be eligible.

GRCF Achille & Irene Despres, William and Andre Scholarship

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards many scholarships per year to mostly Kent County students. These scholarships are for students in technical careers. Applicants must be of Mexican heritage.

GRCF Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids Minority Scholarship

The GRCF also sponsors students in pursuit of a qualification in arts. Eligible students from the Hispanic community are welcome to apply.

GRCF Hackett Family Scholarship

GRCF Miller Johnson West Michigan Diversity Law School Scholarship

The GRCF also helps students pursuing a career in the legal industry. People from the Latino community can also use this as scholarships for Hispanics.

GRCF Warner Norcross & Judd Law School Scholarship

Students of color pursuing a law degree at an accredited school in the U.S. can apply for this scholarship.

Haz La U Program

The program helps Hispanic youth get university funding. They grant more than 30 scholarships per year of varying amounts.

Hyatt Hotels Fund for Minority Lodging Management Students

Hyatt established a fund to provide financial aid to minority students in pursuit of a career in hotel management.

La Unidad Latina Foundation Scholarship

Liberty Power Bright Horizons Scholarship

This scholarship was started by co-founders David Hernandez and Alberto Daire who committed $100,000 for 5 years to high-achieving students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields of studies.

META Foundation Scholarship

META’s Platinum Scholarship offers eligible students up to $7,500 over 4 years. Students who receive the scholarship will also get mentorship in the process.

Microsoft Scholarship Program

This scholarship strongly encourages underrepresented groups to pursue STEM fields of study. A large part of their aid goes towards female candidates.

Minority Scholarship in Classics and Classical Archaeology

It invites applicants from minority undergraduate students in the fields of classics or classical archaeology.

Minority Teacher Education Scholarship

This is a collaborative performance-based scholarship that includes Hispanic-American applicants. Applicants must be a resident of the State of Florida to be eligible.

Minority Teachers of Illinois Scholarship Program

U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens who are residents of Illinois are eligible for this scholarship. Hispanic American students are eligible for this.

Morgan Stanley Richard B. Fisher Scholarship Program

The Richard B. Fisher Scholarship program is a competitive undergraduate scholarship program which also supports Hispanic students with a financial award for outstanding academic achievement. It also includes a summer internship in the year prior to their senior year in college. Only sophomore or junior year students may apply.

Mutual of Omaha Actuarial Scholarship

The Mutual of Omaha Actuarial Scholarship for Minority Students is awarded to undergraduates preparing for actuarial careers. It’s paid in two equal $2,500 payments (each payment per semester).

NACME Scholars (Block Grant) Program

Through NACME Scholars Program, NACME provides block grants to colleges and universities who offer the money to exceptional students in various minority groups (including the Latino community).

National Press Club Scholarship for Journalism Diversity

The National Press Club Diversity Scholarship for Studies in Journalism encourages further diversity in the field by granting minority students with financial aid.

NBCUniversal/LNESC Scholarship

The program specifically helps outstanding Latino high school seniors and undergrads pursuing a bachelor’s degree at U.S. post-secondary institutions. This could be a good option for scholarships for Hispanics.

NSHSS STEM Scholarships

This foundation provides STEM to high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 with a demonstrated desire to pursue a STEM career, are eligible.

Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) Company Latino ERG Scholarship

This group of employees is dedicated to personal development, company success, and community well-being. Applicants must be college-bound high school seniors or continuing students in college.

Page Education Foundation Grants

Application Deadline: 5/1/2020

Amount: $2,500

Page Grants are awarded to students who hail from Minnesota. Students of color who attend post-secondary institutions are eligible. The grant is available to students of all academic levels. The selectors focus on attitude towards education and a willingness to provide service to children. Hispanics can qualify for this grant.

Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarships

Amount: $2,000

The PMAHCC (Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce) grants opportunities to eager Hispanic students. The grants go to Hispanic students specifically in the Pittsburgh area.

Presbyterian Student Opportunity Scholarship

Amount: $4,000

This scholarship only serves Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) college students. They offer need-based aid to full-time students in their sophomore, junior, and senior years. It must be a first-degree at an accredited institution in the U.S.

RMHC/HACER National Scholarship

Amount: $100,000

The scholarship is paid over four years in $25,000 per year payments. There are five scholarships handed out per year and Hispanics could be eligible.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Scholarships

This society offers funding for students who study in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. All students who apply need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 to be eligible.

Study Abroad Scholarship in BiH for American Minority Students

The Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) designated Bosnia and Herzegovina as a study abroad destination. They offer funding to eligible minority students on an annual basis to study there.

Tennessee Minority Teaching Fellows Program

The program is intended to encourage exceptional minority students from Tennessee to enter the teaching industry in Tennessee. Only students heading to eligible teaching colleges can apply.

The Carlos M. Casteñeda Journalism Scholarship
