I’m a firm believer that information is the key to financial freedom. On the Stilt Blog, I write about the complex topics — like finance, immigration, and technology — to help immigrants make the most of their lives in the U.S. Our content and brand have been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, and more.

How it Works
In addition to offering loan options to immigrants and the underserved, we strive to make the borrowing process as painless as possible.
To take a loan with Stilt, a potential borrower must simply fill out an application online. Once an application has been completed, we will send either a decision or a request for more information within 24 hours. In cases in which more information is required, we will reach out to schedule a quick verification call with the potential borrower.
If Stilt offers a loan, the borrower will be asked to provide documents and to sign a promissory note. Once the documents have been verified and the promissory note has been signed, we will initiate the transfer, which usually takes 2-3 days to reflect in the borrower’s account.
It’s that simple!
